Beijing Cuisine

Our stay in Beijing was short. We arrivedĀ on a Tuesday night and had already eaten on the flight (Business Class.) We did check out the lackluster lounge in the hotel, had a bite and a glass of wine. The next two days we were on a Private Tour of the sights in Beijing. Our guide took us to a restaurant for lunch each day with typical Chinese food. (See below.) The food was very similar to what we had in Hong Kong. While we enjoyed the food, it’s very rich, somewhat oily, and not something we would want to eat everyday… perhaps only every once in a while. That being said, it still was better than the “Chinese” food we are accustomed to in the States. After each day of touring around, we had a couple of snacks in the lounge, and called it a night. Thus our culinary adventures were limited to a few encounters.
