Review – Paris Hotel & Casino Las Vegas
After completing a Diamond Match with Total Rewards, I began checking room rates for Las Vegas out of curiosity. I was surprised to find that we could go to Paris, Planet Hollywood, and Linq for 3-4 nights for $0. (FYI: I didn’t check but I believe it would also be complimentary at Bally’s, Flamingo and Rio.) As a Diamond Member, I also wouldn’t have to pay a Resort Fee of $41.95 per night and would receive free valet parking. Thus this would truly be a free stay in Vegas.
We arrived on a Sunday evening at about 5pm. We went into the Diamond Section of the Check-In area. I was greeted by a nice receptionist. After giving my name, she asked for Credit Card and ID. I gave her a $20 sandwich; a $20 Dollar bill folded in between my credit card and driver’s license. I then asked if there were any complimentary suites available. She looked and said they had a better room for us. While not a suite, our room was a corner room and had great views of the Bellagio across the street as well as the Eiffel tower.
For our first full day we went to the gym, caught up on work and enjoyed our views. After watching an evening movie at the local AMC, we came back to enjoy the Dueling Piano’s at the Napoleon bar in the hotel. We enjoyed about 4-5 songs before they took an intermission. It was nice free entertainment.
For our second full day we enjoyed a fair amount of time at the pool. The hours of the pool are 9am-7pm. We arrived around 10am. At this time the hotel is blocking the sun a fair amount, but by 2pm the sun is completely overhead. The pool has waitress service which was fairly fast. While not deep, the pool is very big.
On our last day, we took advantage of the Self Check-Out option I received in my email. When we were ready to check out, we clicked the link and that was it. Super easy.
This was our first time at the Paris Hotel. It was a nice change from the MGM, as we were in the central part of the strip. One frequent complaint I hear about MGM is that it takes forever to get out of the hotel and to the strip. Paris was completely different. The exit to the street was very close to the hotel elevators. We enjoyed the pool as well as the Dueling Piano Bar. Each time we picked up our car at the Valet, it took about 5 minutes, which was fairly quick. We will definitely keep this hotel in mind for future stays in Vegas, especially if the stay was free!
